File Based Projects.

We love listening to our users and accommodating their needs and requests, for those users who want to use our crowd sourcing functionalities but are unable to install our widget for whatever reason, we have added a new way by which you can use dakwak, File Based Project.

After you log in, you will find a link that will take you through the process of creating your File Based Project.

You will then be presented with a form where you can fill the project details and upload the text file.

After creating the project, wait for a minute or two so that our automatic machine translation does the initial translation, you can then browse to the Files section of the project and download all the translations you have requested.

It doesn't end at that, the real value kicks in when you invite your user community to help you with post editing the resulting translations! just give them the URL of your project and they will give you the best translation you can get anywhere.

The current file format we support is pretty basic, it is a token and a string separated by an equal sign (=), example:

official=official site
password=random password
number=random number
If you need another format just mail us a sample at info[at]dakwak.com and we'll support it as soon as we can.

The Duck Doesn't Follow You Around.

Being privacy concerned individuals ourselves, we make sure that we deliver to our users a service which they can be certain it respects their online privacy.

We have thus implemented a new feature that would enable our webmasters and users to use our service in an entirely anonymous fashion, you can find the option in the project's settings page, I have highlighted it below in the screenshot.

We appreciate the community feedback we got so far, keep them coming! =)

More Features, and fixing some crazy bugs

Feedback are really useful, some Webmasters wants to default their websites to some language, so we introduced a new feature that would make that possible for them, you only have to go to your project settings and choose what language you want to default your website to, but if you enabled that setting, you should be careful, because that will override the visitor language detection functionality,  so its your choice either this or that :).

Now regarding bug fixes, previously dakwak widget, could not sustain Characters case, so it was capitalizing the first characters of paragraphs, but now it keeps the case as it is.

also we had a small issue with spaces, so anchors would be very close to the text around it, but now this issue have been fixed.

Your feedback are important, Thanks for using dakwak :)
